Academic Support & Resources

Associate Dean Toni Smith, oversees the School of Law’s Academic Support Program, specifically PASS. This is a hands-on program designed to address and support each student’s individual writing needs. In addition, the program will include sessions in all of the substantive law courses offered each semester to assist students in developing their analytical and critical thinking skills. Students will have access to PASS 24 hours per day, and will be allowed to submit three (3) essays per semester to the PASS team for grading and full detailed comments. Cali, Westlaw and TWEN are all computer based tools used to help students with research for classes such as Legal Research &Writing, Advanced Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy and Lawyering Skills Practicum.
