Before becoming an attorney, Marilyn Alper was an administrator for the L.A. Health Department.  She also served as a prosecutor at the State Bar of California and an attorney in civil litigation practice.  Marilyn was a senior appellate judicial attorney at the California Court of Appeal, Second District for more than 23 years.  She is currently in private practice, specializing in appeals and has served as a professor at UWLA since 1982. She frequently lectures on appellate procedures.
