Professor Bruce E. Schwartz focuses his law practice in corporate and business law, civil litigation, real estate law and probate law. He also has extensive litigation experience in these areas. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1974, and the U.S. District Court and Central District of California in 1977. In 1979 he was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, he was admitted to the U.S. Tax Court in 1982.
Professor Schwartz is AV rated and listed in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He is the Author of “A Psychiatrist On Trial for Medical Malpractice,” which was published in the University of West Los Angeles Law Review in 1985. He has also served in other legal capacities, which include a position as Adjunct Professor of Evidence Law at the University of West Los Angeles since 1978, and the position of Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles County Municipal Court in 1983. He served as a Los Angeles County Superior Court Settlement Hearing Officer in 1986 and held the position of Arbitrator for the Beverly Hills Bar Association since 1984 and the Los Angeles County Bar Association since 1987.
