Dean Dezes engaged in the private practice of law, primarily in the field of commercial litigation, for 17 years, until he began teaching law on a fulltime basis.
From 1998 to 2000, he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where he taught Civil Litigation Procedure, Trial Advocacy and, in UWLA’s School of Paralegal Studies, Corporations and Securities Regulation. He was also the Assistant Dean and a fulltime Faculty Member of the San Fernando Valley College of Law from 2000 until 2002 when the San Fernando Valley College of Law was acquired by the University of West Los Angeles. Thereafter, he served as the University’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and a fulltime law professor teaching Contracts and Evidence.
Appointed Dean of the Law School in 2006, Dean Dezes currently teaches Evidence.
