Welcome to UWLA, a Los Angeles law school committed to the success of its students. We seek individuals who are dedicated to the challenging study of law and who demonstrate the potential to achieve. We begin by providing students with opportunity, and then equip them with the knowledge, skills, and experience to be successful.

The Opportunity We Offer

Success begins with opportunity. UWLA’s admission policy considers the unique experiences of applicants, and is based upon several factors including educational background and LSAT score as well as life and professional experience.

Our programs, classes, and staff cater to the challenges that both our traditional and non-traditional students face in their pursuit of a career in law. The student body is culturally and ethnically diverse and includes a high enrollment of women, minorities, recent immigrants, first-generation Americans and mature students. Many of our students work and/or have family responsibilities and attend part-time.

We offer classes at two convenient locations: West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.

Success in Law School

The School of Law admits students who have exhibited evidence of potential to be successful in the study of law. In order to be successful, students must commit themselves to fulfilling that potential.

The importance of making a serious commitment to law school, making our southern California law school a priority in your life, and putting in the considerable time and effort needed to achieve is underscored by the remarkably high correlation between performance in law school and success on the bar examination.

UWLA recognizes that achievement is rarely accomplished alone. That is why we work with our students to offer them the support and mentorship to help them reach their goals.
