President’s Message  

Welcome to the University of West Los Angeles School of Law! Going to law school is a major undertaking and potentially life-changing experience. I congratulate you on having the courage to pursue this very challenging and rigorous curriculum leading to a law career in a very prestigious profession.

Through this Southern California law school, we have been providing quality and affordable legal education in one of the finest law schools for over forty years. We have graduated thousands of alumni and many of our alums are judges for the State of California. I have had the great fortune to serve as president of this University for the past ten years.

The educational experience at UWLA is aimed at providing a high quality legal education to our students in preparation for ultimately taking the California Bar examination. Our law school curriculum is intended to meet the needs of all students, but in particular, those who must study law while also working. Although many of our students choose to attend on a part-time basis in the evenings, we also offer a full-time, day program. Our smaller classes are taught by some of the leading attorneys in our county. A student at this  acquires a more practical and experience-oriented legal education as a result.
