Success of UWLA Graduates
The Culmination of Study, Work, and Perseverance
UWLA’s Los Angles law school programs and curriculum are selected and designed to prepare its students to pass the California bar exam and pursue a successful career in law.
The quality of the education offered at the University of West Los Angeles is evidenced by students who study well, work hard in their classes—and then go on to pass the bar exam and embark on successful careers.
The Success of UWLA Graduates
We believe the success of our alumni is also our success. Graduates of our Los Angeles law school are a diverse group of men and women who contribute much to our society in their pursuit of freedom, democracy, and justice:
- One hundred fifty sitting judges call UWLA Los Angles law school their alma mater. Two notable examples include Judge Lloyd Nash, who presided over the highly televised trial of actor Robert Blake, and Judge Frederick Horn, who was the presiding Superior Court Judge for Orange County.
- Two alumni have been appointed by the Governor, one as the Real Estate Commissioner for the State of California, and the other as the former Medicaid Director for California's State Department of Health Services.
- We have alumni in the District Attorney's Office, the City Attorney's Office, and in the Public Defender's Office.
- At the age of 39, graduate Gary Dordick won the CAALA Trial Lawyer of the Year Award.
