Biography: Professor Seleck’s professional experience encompasses positions at reputable law firms, including Blumberg Law Corporation, where she represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases. Following that, she accepted an attorney position at Faser, Watson & Croutch, LLP, a medical malpractice firm defending physicians, nursing homes, and hospitals. Currently at Petrullo, APC, a respected business and corporate defense trial law group, Professor Seleck’s main areas of practice are professional negligence, wrongful death, elder abuse, and medical malpractice. Professor Seleck earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Armenia, graduating summa cum laude. She obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of West Los Angeles (UWLA). Balancing the duties of raising a child and a full-time career, she successfully completed her studies, graduating with three Witkin Academic Awards, including one for excellence in civil procedure. Professor Seleck started teaching at the age of 19 while she was a third-year medical student. She lectured on surgical and clinical pharmacology at the medical school in Yerevan, Armenia, and prior to relocating to the United States, she briefly served as Assistant Dean of the Medical Faculty at the Armenian Medical Institute. At Keck Hospital of USC, as a CDIS, Professor Seleck provided clinical documentation training to physicians and residents for nearly eight years. In addition to English, Professor Seleck speaks Armenian, Russian, and French. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, traveling the world, and exploring different cultures. |
