Mr. Gast is the UWLA Library Assistant where he is responsible for organizing and maintaining the functionality and physical appearance of the library. Mr. Gast has over thirty years of library experience, working at UWLA since 1996. He also worked at the Los Angeles Public Library as a Messenger Clerk for 13 years. His excellent social and communication skills enhance UWLA’s working and academic environment. UWLA honored Mr. Gast with the “Librarian of the Year” award in 2000.

He graduated from Taft High School and attended Pierce Junior College in Woodland Hills. His hobbies include bowling, watching sports and movies, and reading about current events on the internet. He is also an avid fan of cars and loves animals.
